Orks vs BT normal mission batrep 1.5k

Warboss "Crazy-Squig" feel a need to launch a miniature waaagh raiding party on the eastern fringe of the lush agri world - Riau  . The Orks were running rampage in a sub-urban settlement, looting + slaughtering. The humans last cry for help was intercepted by the Black Templars - "The Mandarsa Crusade". A small strike force consisting mainly of Templars and bikes, the Templars answer the call and landed on the outskirt of the settlement.

Objectives of the Black Templars are
-Secure a zone for reinforcements and supplies.
-Capturing the centre administratum ruin to gather intel and gain vantage point over the orks forces.
-Recover any artifacts from a ruined manufactorum.

Mission: Seize ground
Deployment: Spearhead
Objectives: 3

Orks vs DE (1.5k) Battle mission Batrep

Played a game today, using my orks. Would be playing against Krom's DE. We decide on battlemission. Winning the roll off , and rolling 2 for mission, we would be playing Blitzkrieg (German, "lightning war" is an anglicized word describing all-mechanized force concentration of tanks, infantry, artillery and air power, concentrating overwhelming force and rapid speed to break through enemy lines, and once the latter is broken, proceeding without regard to its flank.)

Mission: Blitzkrieg
Deployment: Battle mission deployment
Objectives: 3

Batrep 3k IG + orks VS 3k SM + SW

Played a 3k 40k game today with the regular guys. Having just received my battle mission book, wanted to try 1 of the missions inside. We settle with "Prepared assault" as was played out in WD363.

Mission: Prepared Assault
Teams: IG (evils ones) + Orks VS SM + SW (3k /team)
Objectives: 3
Deployment: Prepared Assault deployment

Turn 1 after deployment

Ork horde prepare to rush the flanks (LR proxy BW)

Thunder wolves at the front lines (hungry wolves)

Vulkan (Right: in black) with tactical marines holding centre objective

Solo Wolf guard survived Rhino explosion

More Tac squads prepare to unleash hell on IG flanks

1st Rank fire , 2nd Rank fire!!

Game ends on turn 5 with the Adeptus Astartes holding 2 objectives.

Battle highlights:
-The game winner unit was the thunder wolf cavalry. The thunder wolves sweep into IG line and kill all the troops, also withering down warboss + nobz unit before a 2nd TWC unit wiped them out.
-A rallied surviving single TWC charge in on turn 5 to kill the last unit of guardsman denying a draw securing a absolute victory for the Emperor's Finest.
-Wolf guards with melta guns and landspeeder with melta suicide push forward to destroy most of orks transport, grounding the ork boyz and using cyclone missles to kill them off.
-Lousy rolls by IG lascannon team failed to destroy most of the rhinos holding troops.
-Master of ordnance damage was negated by cover saves offered by area terrain.
-Colossus was constantly weapon destroyed and stunned prevented it from wiping Vulkan and his tactical squad holding 1 objective.
-Ork mega dread was tar-pit by 6  master crafted thunder-hammer wielding terminators, eventually destroying the mega dread after 6 rounds of combat. 13 shoota boyz came to relief the mega dread but was smash to a bloody pulp by the terminators.
-Hell hounds were destroyed and disabled by missiles, preventing them from flaming the TWC running rampage in IG line.

Funny moments:
-A landspeeder was weapon destroyed by a stray plasma cannon shot and in the following turn was destroyed by a scattering master of ordnance blast.
-Stray rounds did nothing lol... (fan was switch off to prevent any external interference)
-Colossus again survived the battle! suffering multiple, wep destroy, immob, stun, shaken but was not destroyed. Earning itself veteran status. (survived 3 battles - 1x1750, 2x3000)

After battle thoughts:
This mission really favour mechanize armies and a need to push into the centre 2 objectives with more stuffs than your opponent can kill.

Orks strengths over nids

Ray this is written for you lol...

The things that will threaten your army are the following: (top priority listed top)

1)LOOTAS - Extremely dangerous to your army. D3 str7 AP4 shots each model and he can take 5-15 in a unit. Every ork player will bring at least a unit. If there are more 11-15 of them, they are fearless. So your opponent will likely bring 11-15 per unit. They are elites so you would see at most 3 units.

Their weakness are their lame Leadership (LD 7) and paper armour. To eliminate the paper armour weakness, your opponent will mostly likely put the lootas in cover to get cover saves. So you are left with 1 weakness to exploit - LD. On your 1st turn, try to cut their number to below 11 to let them take panic test. When they numbered less than 11 they will lose their fearless. Their base LD is 7 but can buff their LD by the number of models in the unit. Example (10 lootas = LD 10, 11 Lootas = fearless, 6 lootas = LD 7). If on turn 2 you can reduce their number to 7 or below, they have a very high chance of running.
Even if they rallied, their firepower will be greatly reduced as the deffguns are heavy D3 and they count as moving after rally so cannot shoot on that turn.

Assault I think your outflanking gene-stealers will slaughter them

2)Warboss + nobz + painboy - I think your bugs can handle them, becareful of power klaws (aka power fist). Dont solo charge in with your big bugs, they will get slaughter by the hidden power klaws. Reduce their numbers before going in solo or charge together with other bugs. Painboy give FNP and they can buy 5++ saves. Nobz are 2 wounds each and T4. Try to instant kill them and dont let them roll FNP.

3)kilkannon, boomgun, shokk atk gun - Not units but weapons. Str 7-8 respectively, shokk 2D6 str . AP 2-3. All 5" Large blast. With orks crappy BS of 2, they need not roll to hit, just a HIT or low scatter it will catch your bugs. There are other str 8 stuffs but all need to roll to hit with BS of 2 so can ignore them hahaha.

4)Deffkopters - Imagine eldar jefbikes that can drop bombs that wipe alot of your small bugs(once per kopter), T(5)4 W2 can scout move, got powerklaw to smash your mid-size bugs or reinforce draw assaults. How to deal with them, maybe hive guards?

Ok I think these are the dangerous stuffs against you. I left out the weirdboy (ork psyker) and the special characters. Just know that ghazghkull thraka waagh make his 2+ armour sv invul for 1 game turn.

Batrep 1k orks vs 1k sm, 1k eldar (no pics)

Played 2 small games this weekend , 1 against SM and 1 against eldar. No pictures or batrep pics. (lazy hehehe)

Orks vs SM (1k)
Mission: Capture & control
Deployment: pitch battle (was DOW lol...)

Both players put their objectives behind their deployment zone. SM wiping orks troops early in the game prevented any chance of victory for orks. SM landspeeder storm with scouts nearly capture orks objective (only 2" away). While orks warboss +nobz clear out the tactical marines holding the SM objective.

Game end on turn 5, with a roll of 2.
0 - 0 objective DRAW.

Funny moments: Tech marine running away from warboss got shot in the back by warboss TL shoota. (tech marine ran from 3rd storey ruin to gnd floor but could not escape the wrath of the warboss.)

Orks vs Eldar (1k)
Mission: Capture & control (again lol...)
Deployment: DOW...

Slugga boyz on trukk with warboss + nobz on B.wagon rush the eldar objective, clearing the wraithguard and storm guardians holding eldar objective. While Seer council in wave serpent clear out the shoota boyz and lootas defending the orks objective.

Game end on turn 6, as only non scoring troops was left on both sides and no chance of wiping each other out due to the distance apart.
0 - 0 objective DRAW.

Funny moments: Farseer fail reroll invul saves consecutively! (led by example goes wrong)

The small games prevented much option for the armies, bringing only 2 troops each. Alot of firepower was concentrated on eliminating the scoring units and resulting in draw for both sides.

Batrep 1.5k Orks vs Space wolf battle

Had a game with Defu's Space wolf today. I played against his space wolf once (1vs1) using DE and lost. Experience tell me lone wolf = avoid if possible and Logan = CC madness. 2 Lone Wolves, TA+CF+SS
2 Landspeeders, MM
2 AC/HB Predators

Deployment
-Space wolf deploy 1 troop in the centre of the board to push the CC oriented orks back in the deployment zone.
-Orks deploy slugga boyz in trukk and shoota boyz behind a ruin building.

Turn 1
-Space wolf forces moved in, Landspeeders flatout to the front, wolf guards retreat back into SW half.
-Ork battlewagon with HQ and nobz zoom forward, 2nd battlewagon move in to allow slugga boyz to embark. Lootas move onto hill and shoota boyz move in from the centre edge.

Turn 2
-lone wolf move forward to try stall the slugga boyz in CC.
-lootas bear the brunt of cyclone missile and fail their LD on 8... and flee off table
-Land speeders move flat out again but , 1 was wreck and 1 wep destroyed by 58 shootas and 6 big shootas shot. ( left flank shootas doing all the dmg!)
-trukk move out of cover to zoom towards SW objective.
-Warboss battlewagon was wreck by living lightning, but warboss + nobz embark 2nd battlewagon when the slugga boyz dismount.

Turn 3
-Lone wolf charged into the slugga boyz and killed 3, orks return atks did not wound him. Orks fearless ar sv took 2 more casualties.
-Shoota boyz do no damage to the SPAZZE marin!
-2nd battlewagon was blow up by cyclone missile and warboss + nobz dismount into ruins.
-The flanking trukk was kerrunch by cyclone missile forcing slugga boyz to dismount.

Turn 4
-SW mass firepower killed 1 nobz! (amazing rolls by me FTW lol)
-The dismounted slugga boyz was ripped apart by pistols and flee.
-Centre shoota boyz managed to immob the piece of irrtating landspeeder and wreck it in CC.
-Warboss + nobz charge in to help the hopeless slugga boyz, over killing the lone wolf.
-Centre slugga boyz consalidate towards SW predator.
-Left shoota boyz hide in ruins again after the failed trukk flank rush.

Turn 5
-centre predator tank shock the centre shoota boyz off objective but they are fearless.
-wolf guards move closer to ork objective.
-Murder hurricane killed more slugga boyz on right.
-Mass fire power on SW right flank killed 8 shoota boyz  forcing them to flee.
-Ork declare waagh! slugga boyz with pk nob manage to wreck predator.
-Shoota boyz managed to take down wolf guard with termi ar!
-Warboss + surviving nobz + big mek wander around aimlessly (I had no idea what to do LOL)
- Ork player roll 5! game goes to turn 6.

Turn 6
-Slugga boyz deep in SW zone were slaughtered mercilessly.
-With nothing much to shoot, the warboss unit was relentless shot. Big mek, pain boy, 1 pk nob and warboss walk out the carnage unscathed. (Their cyborg body absorbing many horrendous injuries)
-Centre shoota boyz railled and move 3" and ran towards ork objective, claiming it back.
-Warboss charge out the decimated nobz unit and blow up the contesting predator.
-Resultant explosion caught 4 orks + boss but did not wound either. 1 unlucky grey hunter  wolf guard  was caught also and got pierce in the head by sharpnel. (wear your helmet!)
-pk nob + pain boy +big mek charge the nearest grey hunter wolf guards and killed 1, wolf guards pass break test.
-Ork player roll 2!, game ends.

DRAW ( 1 - 1)

Nearly lost this game, if the game continues to turn 7, the next grey hunter  wolf guard unit will be able to claim ork objective. The rest of the SW will shoot the warboss to death, preventing him from charging any SW coming near to objective. Make lots of mistake in this game, deploy the lootas wrongly, should have deploy them in the ruins and take shots at anyone coming near to objective. I should also concentrate all my battlewagon and trukk on the left flank and rush towards SW objective. My shoota boyz then can hold my own objective with the help of lootas.

Next game would try storm boyz and maybe kommandos if I can get them. I feel that I need some crazy suicidal in your face distract units so that my warboss can safetly cross into enemy zone and wreck havoc.

There are some errors in the battle report as I did not take notes during the game and may have left out or remember some parts wrongly. (esp turn 5)

Planetstrike 4.5k battle (orks + IG + Iyandan eldar vs SW + SM + eldar)

Played my biggest 40k planet strike game last wk. It was a farewell game for our gaming grp member Sam (Iyandan player) who was leaving for Aus.

Mission: Desperate assault
Atk strategems: planet quake bomb
def strategems: void shield, machine spirit
objectives : 3 bastions

Defers: 1.5k*3 (orks,IG,Iyandan Eldar)
Atkers: 1.5k*3 (SW,SM,Eldar)

The game was stop at end of turn 3 as it was running late and to catch the last train and work the next day some had to leave.

Highlights of battle:

-Canis wipeout a squad of banshees with his thunderwolf cavalry.
-IG firing power took out the thunderwolf cavalry, leaving Canis alone.
-IG mass las guns took out another chunk of fenrisian wolves claiming objectives.
-Prince Yriel charge Canis wolfborn and killed him easily.

-ork warboss killed 4 thunderwolf cavalry + a wolflord on thunderwolf. warboss dying in the process.
-Stompa arrived in def turn 1 and killed 3 damned legionnaire + 2 fenrisian wolves, wep destroying 1 landspeeder and stunning another landspeeder.
-2 multi-melta landspeeders wreck the stompa in 1 turn rolling 3 sixes and 1 five.
-Ork nobz arrived with battlewagon and took out eldar bright lances firing base.
-16 shoota boyz mow down a squad of swooping hawks.

-Defenders' bastions was completely destroyed by eldar brightlances in turn2.
-IG bane wolves hose down some SM holding objectives.
-striking scorpians clean out a horde of fenrisian wolves claiming objectives.
-Wave serpent ramming an ironclad dreadnought and immobilzing it.
-Vulkan was hiding in atker's bastion the whole game hahaha. (i think)

Thats all I can remember, being the ork player I only could remember most of the orks battles.

End game (turn 3):
Defenders still hold 2 uncontested bastions at end of turn 3. VICTORY TO defenders.

Conclusion:
Very fun game, I find it pretty epic, big battles does change the game alot. Tons of dice thrown around and it was very brutal, lots of models die in just a turn. Future big battle games need to be schedule earlier so it can be completed.
