Orks vs DE (1.5k) Battle mission Batrep
Mission: Blitzkrieg
Deployment: Battle mission deployment
Objectives: 3
Highlights of the game:
-16 ork shoota boys charge a unit of 5 wyches + 1 homoculus and the orks lost combat by 4. Getting caught in sweeping advance.
-19 ork slugga boyz camped in the left flank objective inside a forested area terrain and was shot by 6 Dark lances, 2 shredders, 12 splinter pistols, 6 Disintegrators and only 8 ork boyz died. Retaining their fearless and claiming an objective.
-A raider carrying DE warriors zoom into the centre objective on turn 5, claiming an objective for DE.
-Warboss + big mek + nobz multi-charge 2 raiders with DE warriors and manage to wreck both killing 4 warriors and pinning 1 squad. Contesting right flank objective to prevent a DE win.
Game end on turn 5 as a 2 was roll.
Objective: 1-1
Draw
There were not much interesting events, as only fast attack could deploy and only fast vehicles could come in on turn 1. The rest had to come in using normal reserve rules. Turn 1 was basically over in 1min for both sides. With lousy rolls for both sides, the reserves slowly came in and there was not much action. With both sides making mad dashes for objectives on turn 4 and 5.
I think this mission is more fun if played with apoc size armies. (3k and above) More variety with no restriction and lots of heavy armour to push forward. Will be extremely bloody especially at area around the objectives.

The new Battle Missions sounds fun! Hey the game did not last till Turn 6 like it usually does lol :)
It seemed like a fast paced game as well. Its always handy to have troops that can move fast to contest :)
Thanks for the report but it's a little hard to visualise the battle. Attach pictures!
Every picture will be in black and grey though hehehe
You should definitely dump the pics into Picasa and do a fly by fly report. Remember, a picture paints a thousand words!
Of course, if you have an alternative way, let me know. i would love to do my batreps in a time efficient but good style too.
